Search Changes

A few enhancement and fixes have made their way into NotifyWire.com tonight.
Keyword Search Changes
I've changed the keyword search mechanism to now use whole word only searches by default. In one case, a member had used the search term "AC" for air conditioner. This caused a tremendous amounts of notifications to be sent because AC matched any occurrence of the letter A followed by C, such as "mAChine".
If you would like a partial word search, you can use the wild card ".*" after any fragment, such that AC.* would match "account", but not "machine". However, using the wild card at the beginning and end of the fragment (such as .*AC.*) would match "machine".
I'd like to keep the keyword search easy without making it difficult to use. Therefor, in the future, I might make more changes to this feature to make sure it serves the most people in an easy and straight forward fashion.
NotifyWire Agent Software
The Notifywire.com agent software which is responsible for reading the Craigslist RSS feeds and running searches has been updated to be more efficient. The increase in efficiency (which essentially lowers the number of requests to Craigslist to execute a search) should increase the frequency of search executions. Keep in mind that your computer will run less than 100 searches a day against Craigslist, so using those 100 searches intelligently is very important.
There was also a small bug having to do with duplicate notifications, experienced by a small number of users, that has been fixed.
If you've already installed the software, don't worry, it will auto update itself.
