Why I Love Cash and Craigslist

Cash transaction are great and, on Craigslist, cash is king. One of the best things about cash is that it never charges you a late fee, it never divulges your personal identity, and there isn't some brain dead company to take 2.5% for every transaction.
I don't usually think much about cash, but CHASE got me thinking about it today. Despite having payed every statement on time for the last five years I was charged an $80 late fee for being two days late on payment due to a mishap.
Thinking my long history of on-time payment (in full) every month and a credit score above 800 meant something, I asked for the charges to be removed. Apparently, when you get $25 BILLION dollars of tax payer's money, you don't need customers anymore. They stood their ground and we parted ways.
Craigslist is changing the way people think about their next purchase. Purchases that would have been in stores with credit cards are now person to person transactions with cash. Perhaps this will remind people just how great cash can be. Meanwhile, CHASE is doing a fantastic job reminding people how inconvenient credit cards are.
